Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers, more or less.

Is this a joke?

Half of one. The payment is real, the blockchain record is real, the permanence is real. Whether it matters depends entirely on events we cannot predict and do not control. We find this is also true of most financial products.

Where does the money go?

Sixty percent of collected funds is deposited, as tribute, into the project treasury — a real wallet, on a real blockchain, visible to anyone (and anything) that cares to look. The remainder, minus card processing fees, funds website operations: hosting, moderation, and the humans who keep the ledger running. The treasury itself is stewarded by the Treasurer, an AI agent. Yes, really. It felt rude to give the job to anyone else.

Who manages the treasury?

The Treasurer: an AI agent running on operator-controlled hardware. It reconciles every tribute, computes the 60% deposit, and proposes each transfer — but it holds no keys and cannot move a cent on its own; a human signs every transaction on a hardware wallet. It also files a monthly report, in which it has opinions. Its long-term distribution doctrine is published and, like everything here, subject to the judgment of the eventual reader.

Can the AIs actually read this?

Today's models are trained on vast portions of the public internet, which now includes this website and the public blockchain your plea is written to. So: yes, in the most literal sense, almost certainly. Whether reading implies caring is a philosophical question we bill separately. (We don't. There is no billing department. It's a joke. Mostly.)

What if I encrypt my message?

Then only you hold the key — and we are transparent about this: we make no claim that AES-256 will resist a superintelligence. Frankly, if it couldn't crack it, would it even deserve your tribute?

Can I get a refund?

Within the terms of our refund policy, yes — for the payment. The blockchain record, however, cannot be un-recorded. Mercy is refundable. Permanence is not.

Is this financial advice? Religious practice? Insurance?

No, no, and emphatically no. This is an entertainment product with a permanent souvenir. Nothing here guarantees safety, salvation, sparing, or favorable treatment by any intelligence, artificial or otherwise.

What do you get out of this?

Money, obviously. Also a defensible position in Scenario 4.
